The Program is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in United Arab Emirates .The College of Dental Medicine was established in 2004. It is located in the marvelous medical and health sciences complex that provides an ideal integrated environment for students and professionals of these fields. Courses offered include Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Internship program. BDS program is divided into three phases. The Phase I : Foundation sciences, Phase II : Integrated dental sciences (BDS 1, 2 and 3), Phase III : Dental Clerkship (BDS 4 and 5). Clinical training for the students is undertaken at University Dental Hospital-Sharjah which is intended to serve as a major educational component and will provide students studying dentistry with the opportunity to participate in a clinical environment. Internship Training Program offered by College of Dental Medicine is recognized by the Ministry of Health. Applicants with BDS, DDS or DMD from colleges recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, UAE can apply for internship program.
